With a strong focus on details as well as the big picture, this role needs a responsible attitude as well as a keen and evolving understanding of WE’AR’s guiding ethos, business structure and goals along with a good understanding of all relevant industry sectors (finance, accounting, fashion, retail, HR etc). The General Manager is expected to continually expand s/he own understanding of above.

GENERAL MANAGER

General Purpose

The General Manager manages and coordinates the operations of WE’AR Bali workroom, stores & special projects.

Reporting to the Executive Director and/or Operations Manager and liaising with the Strategic Development Team, Production Manager, Accountant & Stock Controller, the General Manager is in charge of Bali Store Managers & Staff and Workroom Staff.

The role is responsible for monitoring and improving the performance, productivity and profitability of the functions as outlined below, through the implementation and management of effective methods and strategies.

Functions

1/ Human Resources

Management of Bali Team in line with Indonesia Human Resources Law
Recruitment & Placement and Replacement/termination of Required Staff
Managing Training & Development within roles
Delegation of Tasks and Accountability
Schedule Management
Monitor and Evaluate Performance & Appraisals

2/ Maintenance & Security Management

Maintenance, Inventory, Management & Security of building, machinery, tools, stationery, electrical, fittings, IT hardware, software, copyrights & Information

3/ Retail Management

Managing & Optimisation of Indonesia Retail Operations
Store Managers report to you
Maintaining optimal stock levels in all stores
Management of stock takes and Inventories
Line Cancellations & Clearance Management
Managing NZ Stock Preparation & Export
Customer Service
Merchandising Management

4/ Administrative and Financial

Management of Bali operational calendar: special program timelines, all deadlines, updating of all statutory & staff holidays
Translation where required
Management and optimization of IT systems & Backups
General Accounting, management of cashflow (Payroll, Banking, Invoices, Purchase Orders, Payments, Tax etc)
General and Special Project Budgeting

4a/ Reports Management:

Management & Delivery of Sales Data & Reports
Expense Reporting, Special Project, Collections, Petty Cash, General
Profit & Loss Reporting, Forecasting

4b/ Legal

Managing all legal matters, liasing with lawyer
Management of all Licenses, export, import etc
Management of all Legal Documents

5/ Sales, Marketing & Customer Service

Special project management: Fashion Shows, Trade Shows, Festival etc
Advertising Campaigns
Wholesale & Consigment Accounts Management

6/ Supplier Relations Management

Researching, development & Management of all new and existing supplier relationships
